We had to have our 15 yr old Boxer Bull dog put to sleep and they were so compassionate and caring. They made a very tough time a little easier to deal with. I'm thankful that our Bully got to spend his last minutes in such a loving environment.

This happened years ago, but I still tell this story to this day. The dog I adopted from the animal shelter was spayed at a nearby vet hospital, and they used glue to close her incision. I work in vet med and have had some really bad experiences with glued spay incisions on cats and dogs at a previous job, so I wasn't happy about it. Still, I did everything I could to help her heal properly. She wore an e-collar, I kept her away from my other dogs, and she stayed in a crate until she was healed. Five days after her surgery, she somehow opened the entire spay site (probably with her rear leg). There was blood everywhere and her guts were hanging out, yet this girl was still standing up wagging her tail. The clinic that had spayed her was already closed for the day, and when I called the old hospital I used to work at, they wouldn't see me. Then I called North Star, and they told me to come immediately. I'm so glad I did. They took my dog back right away and kept her overnight, then called me after her surgery to update me. They communicated well every step of the way. I really appreciate them taking us in even though I had never been there before, and I will always recommend them. This was back when they still handled after-hours emergencies, and I will never forget their professionalism, kindness, and speed in a truly scary situation. 10 stars for North Star!

In the past I have had quite a few experiences with clinics. Because I have Rottweilers (bully breed) there is almost always apprehension. Not the case here. These folks are professionals.
